John Tefft may be appointed US ambassador to Russia

John Tefft may be appointed to be the new US ambassador to Moscow, the New York Times reports. According to the newspaper, the decision has not yet been finalized, however Tefft's candidacy is expected to be put to members of the US Congress by President Barack Obama soon.
