Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the law on simplification of citizenship rules for compatriots fluently speaking Russian and living on post-Soviet territories and former lands of the Russian Empire, RIA Novosti reports.
The said compatriots will need to be interviewed by a special commission in order to be recognized as a fluent speaker.
