Nurlan Abdykadyrov, a recipient of the Chingiz Aytmatov Prize, has proposed the creation of a monument to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Bishkek for his contribution to the development of the Kyrgyz economy, RIA Novosti reports.
He reminded that many streets had random names in Bishkek. He proposed renaming the street named after his father Jalil Abdykadyrov (one of the founders and chief director of the Kyrgyz Academic Drama Theater) after Putin.
The Kyrgyz-Russian Slav University has already been named after President Boris Yeltsin. A mountain peak was named after Putin.
