Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have discussed cooperation in military, military-technical and military training spheres, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan reports today.
The defense ministers of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and Serik Akhmetov, discussed in Baku cooperation between the two countries in the military, military-technical and military training spheres, as well as regional security issues.
The head of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan noted that the main threat to stability in the region is the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. He stressed the importance of resolving the conflict within the framework of international law.
Serik Akhmetov says that the relationship between the states are based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood. Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan not only often act with close positions on economic, political and military matters, but also are important partners in the issue of the Caspian Sea.
