President Alexander Ankvab received the Director of the Federal Bailiff Service - Chief Bailiff of the Russian Federation Artur Parfyonchikov.
The meeting focused on the creation of an institute of bailiffs in Abkhazia, the Information Administration under the President of the Republic of Armenia reports.
The head of the Federal Bailiff Service says that they are willing to cooperate with the Ministry of Justice of Abkhazia to address this issue and provide the necessary assistance.
At the initiative of the President, a draft law providing for the establishment of a bailiff service within the Justice Department of Abkhazia was sent to the parliament. The bill was passed by the Parliament in the first reading.
Today district and city courts have bailiff services, which do not constitute a single structure.
Ankvab noted that there are many shortcomings in this sphere, and it is necessary to learn from Russian experience of bailiff services.
"We really need to learn the experience and practice of the Russian Federation. We know that it is difficult and very important work. The problems that we have in the sphere of execution of court decisions is this part of work that falls far short of time. This is a fact, and there are a lot of complaints on this occasion, I will say, plain discontent. Underneath this all there is, unfortunately, the real basis of non-executed decisions. Laws should work and solutions should be implemented," the President said.
