A lot of uncoordinated issues remain on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, and further discussion is needed, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran on the Caspian, Asian and Pacific regions, Ibrahim Rahimpur, said today in Moscow.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister says that before the summit of the heads of Caspian countries, which will be held in Astrakhan, a draft memorandum on the legal status of the Caspian Sea must be prepared, as well as a draft declaration by the Caspian countries, the official website of the Iranian television Iribnews reports.
According to him, at the 37th meeting of the working groups of the Caspian countries in Moscow, agreement has been reached on many issues, and some decisions will be made at tomorrow's meeting of foreign ministers, but further discussion on the legal status of the Caspian Sea is necessary.
