Victoria Nuland, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs said that the Ukrainian government had authorized occupation of buildings in Kiev, ITAR-TASS reports.
She added that the Kiev authorities had started fulfilling the Geneva agreements. Nuland noted that the law on amnesty had been presented to the parliament and officials sent to the east of Ukraine to cooperate with the OSCE. Some barricades were taken down in Kiev, according to the assistant secretary of state.
