Slovakia’s President Ivan Gasparovic has opposed a NATO troop deployment in Slovakia connected to the situation in Ukraine, since he is sure that there will be no war between Russia and Ukraine. "There are no reasons for NATO troops to appear in Slovakia," RIA Novosti quotes him.
He also expressed readiness to help Ukraine: "Slovakia will help Ukraine, but in a way that won’t harm its own economy."
