Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze noted the fruitfulness of talks with her Greek counterpart Evangelos Venizelos in Athens yesterday and thanked Greece for backing the territorial integrity of Georgia and its efforts for Euro-Atlantic integration. She added that the sides had potential for expansion of economic cooperation and invited Venizelos to visit Georgia with a delegation of businessmen, News Georgia reports.
Venizelos confirmed readiness of Georgia and the EU to sign the association agreement. Commenting on the Ukraine crisis and relations of the West and Russia, the Greek minister praised Georgia for normalizing relations with Russia without abandoning the Euro-Atlantic course.
