A spokesman of U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration said that the U.S. may stop aiding Palestine if it forms a government with Hamas, ITAR-TASS reports.
The official noted that any Palestinian government should abstain from violence, recognize Israel and follow agreements.
Spokeswoman of the U.S. State Department Jen Psaki said yesterday that the U.S. was disappointed with Fatah signing an agreement to form a government together with Hamas. The latter is opposed to peaceful negotiations with Israel.
