The presidential elections scheduled to be held in Syria on June 3 cannot be considered legitimate, Turkey's Foreign Ministry says in a statement.
"The so-called elections held in circumstances in which one half of the population has been forced to leave their homes and the people are constantly targeted by the regime, are illegitimate and violate the Geneva communiqué," RIA Novosti cites the statement as saying.
