Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin said that Russia had the rights to send peacekeepers to Ukraine according to article 51 of the UN Charter. He reminded that such right was used in the 2008 conflict in the Caucasus, Interfax reports.
Churkin added that Moscow was urging UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to condemn use of force bby the Ukrainian authorities against the population of the south-east.
