On Monday at approximately 2:00 p.m. (10:00 GMT), a policeman was
injured by an explosive device during a search operation in the
mountains and wooded area of Chechnya's Agishbat village, RIA Novosti
reports, citing an official spokesman of the regional investigation
department of Russia.
Also on Monday, unknown assailants opened fire at a military
helicopter, which was returning to its base in Khankala, in the area
of the Shalazhi village, in the Achkhoy-Martanov region of Chechnya. A
sergeant was injured.
