On April 28, the Turkish media reported that Ankara holds Israel responsible for delaying the signing of an agreement on the normalization of relations between the countries.
According to the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet, the text of the agreement has been ready for a long time and was scheduled to be signed on April 30, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to postpone the signing.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry refused to officially comment on the report. However, a senior official of the ministry told a reporter pf Vestnik Kavkaza that the Turkish newspaper's information is not true.
According to this diplomat, the text of the agreement between Israel and Turkey is not yet ready and that Turkey's demand to lift the blockade of the Gaza Strip still remains in question.
