The European Union is not going to impose visa restrictions on ordinary Russian citizens, EU Envoy to Russia Vigaudas Ushatskas is quoted as saying by ITAR-TASS. On the contrary, the EU is interested in enhanced ties between Russian and European individuals and pursues visa free regime with Russia.
The statement was made after the EU, the US and Japan had imposed additional sanctions on Russia in response to Russia's policy towards Ukraine.
