The acting Dagestani Premier Rizvan Kurbanov has signed a decree on
making the Eid al-Fitr holiday a day off this year, RIA Dagestan
reports.
Eid al-Fitr became a public holiday in the republic on March 5, 1991.
The government of Dagestan decided to make it a day off this September
9, 2010, switching the working day from Friday September 10 to Sunday,
September 12 to give people two days off in succession.
