The total financing of development projects for the North Caucasus
Federal District (NCFD) is 600 billion rubles, RIA Novosti reports,
citing Alexander Khloponin, Russian Vice-Premier, and presidential
envoy to the region.
At the last council for social-economic development of the NCFD,
Khloponin reported that the expenses for infrastructure of the tourist
cluster in the North Caucasus may require 60 billion rubles.
60 billion more rubles will be needed for providing state guarantees in 2011.
According to the strategy of developing the North Caucasus, by 2025
they will have achieved a GDP growth in the region of 7.7%, increased
the budget four-fold, and boosted the average wage to 23,000 rubles a
month, Khloponin said.
