Today at an extraordinary session Slavyansk city council accepted the resignation of the town's mayor, Nely Shtepa.
Members of the council also discussed issues related to the transfer of the buildings of the executive committee in the hands of the protesters in Slavyansk and established a coordination city council. The first secretary of the Slavyansk branch of the Communist Party of Ukraine, Anatoly Khmelevoy, was elected head of the coordination city council.
