Coordinating Council on reforms of criminal justice system established in Georgia

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili has approved the composition of the Interagency Coordinating Council on the reforms of the criminal justice system.

 

The council was created under the Ministry of Justice of Georgia to develop a strategy for the reforms of the criminal law, its implementation, coordination of the interagency work and for developing recommendations and proposals.

 

The council is chaired by the Ministers of Justice and Penitentiary System, its co-chairs are the First Deputy Minister of Justice, the Deputy Chief Prosecutor, the Deputy Minister of Labour, Health and Social Protection and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
