From May 5-6, 2014 the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will be on an official visit to Tajikistan, during which a number of documents in the areas of transport, education, culture and tourism will be signed, the Tajik Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
The report notes that during the visit, the Turkmen President will meet with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
Presidents will issue a joint communique, the report says.
The Tajik Foreign Ministry also notes that this visit will give another impetus for closer relations between the two countries.
Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan were established on January 27, 1993.
