The General Assembly of the UN discussed conflicts in Organization for
Democracy and Economic Development states and their consequences for
world peace, security and development on September 7. A resolution on
refugees from Abkhazia, Georgia and South Ossetia was passed, Trend
reports.
The resolution expresses concern with the demographic situation in Georgia.
The resolution recognizes the right of all refugees, regardless of
their ethnicity, in all of Georgia, including Abkhazia and South
Ossetia.
