Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze and British Foreign Secretary William Hague have expressed satisfaction with the pace of signing the EU association agreement, Trend reports.
The politicians met in Tbilisi. Hague reminded that the UK was one of the initiators to sign the agreement in June, instead of autumn. He reiterated support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The foreign secretary noted that he had already visited Kishinev and Kiev and had arrived in Georgia to encourage the countries in their European course.
Panjikidze emphasized that Georgia was committed to integration in Europe and nothing would impede the process. She thanked the UK for backing it and contributing to international security.
