Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit France to mark the 70th anniversary of Operation Overlord, according to French Ambassador Jean Morris Riper, RIA Novosti reports.
He said that Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov had approved the idea. Queen Elizabeth II of the UK, U.S. President Barack Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel plan to mark the anniversary.
