Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will remain in office during the coming presidential campaign, the head of the Constitutional Committee of the Turkish Parliament, Burkhan Kuzu, says. Erdogan is expected to run for the presidency as the candidate from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).
According to the lawmaker, Turkish law does not require the resignation of the head of the cabinet if he takes part in the presidential elections.
