Head of OSCE visits Akhalgori region

The Secretary General of the OSCE, Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, is on a
visit to the Odzisi village, bordering with Akhalgori. EU observers
informed him about the situation in the region, the Georgian and
Russian roadblocks and the position of Russian border guards.

The secretary general was also informed that most citizens of the
Akhalgori region are refugees and only 1,000 people live there. An
average of 300 people cross the border daily.
