Co-chairs of the Geneva Security Discussions of Trans-Caucasus have visited South Ossetia today and met Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy for Post-Conflict Resolution Murat Jioyev, Res reports.
Jioyev expressed hope that the basic goals of the Geneva Discussions would be accomplished. He noted that the situation in Ukraine was a big concern. The official reminded that South Ossetia had had to go through hard times and knew the price of peace and security.
UN Co-Chair Antti Turunen pointed out the need to discuss a set of issues before the next round of Geneva Discussions. He expressed hope that their efforts will bring stability and progress in the political field.
