Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia strongly opposes attempts to bring Ukraine into NATO.
"Attempts to bring Ukraine into NATO will be very negative for the entire system of European security, and we would be totally against it," ITAR-TASS quotes Lavrov as saying. The Minister added that this issue concerns not only Ukraine and NATO, but also Russia.
