Hamas has de-occupied the residence of President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas, according to a member of the organization Sayid Abu Shamal, RIA Novosti reports.
The residence is located in Gaza and has been used by Hamas for the past 7 years. Abbas has been living in Ramallah, the administrative center of the West Bank of Jordan.
A Fatah delegation visited the Gaza Strip early this week to discuss the inter-Palestinian peace process, implementation of April agreements. Head of the delegation Azzam al-Ahmad said that contacts with Hamas were positive and a new Cabinet will be formed in two weeks.
