Turkish President Abdullah Gul has arrived at the coal mine in Soma (Manisa Province) where 282 people died, Trend reports.
Turkish Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said that the chances of finding people alive were dropping. Over 90 people are still buried underground.
Turkey is in three-day mourning.
The country has 740 coal mines with a total of 48,706 people working in them. About 10.4% of emergency situations in Turkish industry happen in mines.
