Greater Baku will be split into local centers and subcenters, the director of the Baku State Project Institute Ilgar Ispatov said today, abc.az reports.
The process will decentralize the central part of Baku and reduce urbanization, according to the Greater Baku Regional Development Plan. The historic part of the city will be put under special protection.
Local centers and subcenters will be formed in different parts of the Apsheron District, depending on their specialization.
