Georgian Prime Minister Nikoloz Gilauri will visit Astana on April 8th
-9th at the invitation of the Head of the Kazakh Parliament, Karim
Masimov, announced the press secretary for the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov, reports VK's special
correspondent in Kazakhstan.
Various questions of interstate cooperation and joint efforts to
overcome the world economic crisis will be discussed at the meeting.
A meeting of the interstate Kazakh-Georgian trade and economic
cooperation commission will be held on April 7th in Astana, prior to
the visit of the Georgian Prime Minister.
Trade between the two countries is increasing. At present the biggest
Kazakh investors in Georgia are the "Turan Alem" bank, the "Alliance
Bank", and the state oil company "KazMunaiGaz".
