Ukrainian acting President Oleksandr Turchynov has permitted promotion of law enforcers taking part in the special operation in the south-east of the country to colonel (1st-rank captain), RIA Novosti reports.
Besides the military, the operation is assisted by the National Guards, the first battalion of which was formed by Maidan volunteers, and activists of the Right Sector.
