Armenian PM rules out conflict between European and Eurasian integration

Armenian Prime Minister Ovik Abramyan said today that Armenia should develop a road map for European integration that would not contradict Eurasian processes, News Armenia reports.

He emphasized that Armenia should continue its foreign policy basing on the idea of complementarism.

Armenia expressed readiness to join the Customs Union and form the Eurasian Economic Union in September 2013. The road map for Armenia’s joining the integration mechanism was signed at a session of the Eurasian Integration Union in Moscow on December 24, 2013. Yerevan was planning to sign an association agreement with the EU at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius in November 2013.
