At least 11 people died and 80 were injured in a suicide bombing in
Vladikavkaz on Thursday, medics said, reported ITAR-TASS.
The police found a body of a dead terrorist in one of the blown-up
cars. The explosive device was equal to 30 kg of TNT. The police have
initiated a criminal case on 'terrorist attack', 'murder of two or
more people' and illegal arms trafficking, the official representative
of the Russian Investigation Committee Vladimir Markin told ITAR-TASS.
The head of North Ossetia, Taymuraz Mansurov, has also reported to the
Russian president about the measures taken to help the victims of the
attack. Dmitry Medvedev has also heard the report of the authorized
presidential envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District Alexander
Khloponin and ordered him to head to North Ossetia immediately.
The president ordered the ministers of healthcare and emergencies to
take all measures to help the victims.
