Russian and foreign journalists come under fire in Donetsk

A group of Russian and foreign journalists сame under fire from the Ukrainian security services half a kilometer from the international airport of Donetsk. Currently fighting is taking place in the airport; a sniper is shooting at journalists who are trying to film the events.

According to some reports, evacuation of residents of areas near the airport has started. On a live broadcast you can see how law enforcement officials are asking a group of journalists to leave the combat zone. But they cannot manage to leave, because practically all the airport's vicinity is under fire, RIA Novosti reports.

Traffic in the center of Donetsk and all entrances to Sergei Prokofiev international airport are blocked by traffic police .

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to preliminary data, are using attack aircraft - two fighters and helicopters - for strikes on the positions of home guards. The press service of the self-proclaimed People's Republic of Donetsk (DNR) reports that representatives of the people's militia possibly shot down one helicopter.
