Russia urges Kiev to stop operation in south-east

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin, while on a visit to Italy, and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have urged Kiev today to stop the counter-terrorism operation in the south-eastern part of the country, RIA Novosti reports.Lavrov noted that the Kiev authorities could show their firmness in the context of the presidential elections by stopping all military activities. He said both sides of the conflict should end violence.
