Nugzar Ashuba, the secretary of the Abkhaz Security Council, said today that that the protests in Sukhumi yesterday were in no way connected with the Euromaidan process of Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports.
Abkhaz opposition demanded dissolution of the government and resignation of the president yesterday. Activists stormed the Presidential Administration and declared that they were in control of the country. President Alexander Ankvab said that it was a coup attempt.
