Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said at a meeting with Speaker of the People’s National Assembly of Algeria Mohamed al-Arab Weld Khalifa at the 17th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement hosted by Algeria that Iran was ready to cooperate against extremism and violence, Trend reports.
Zarif expressed satisfaction over improvement of ties between Iran and Algeria. He called cooperation of their parliaments an important factor of bilateral relations.
Zarif met his counterpart from Oman Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah in Algeria yesterday. The sides emphasized the importance of promoting principles of the organization to enforce peace and security in the world.
