A helicopter with 14 soldiers headed by General Vladimir Kulchitsky was shot down near Sloviansk. All the passengers died, said Oleksandr Turchynov, the speaker of parliament and the acting president, RBC-Ukraine reports.
Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the interior minister, confirmed the incident today. He said that the helicopter was shipping weapons and ammunition to Karachun.
