Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and British Prime Minister David Cameron will meet in Normandy to mark the 70th anniversary of Operation Overlord. French President Francois Hollande has already invited the Ukrainian leader. Poroshenko plans to meet Obama, RIA Novosti reports.
Cameron congratulaed Poroshenko on winning the elections and expressed hope that he will restore peace and security in Ukraine and realize reforms. The Ukrainian leader noted that the deaths of 12 soldiers in a helicopter shot down by the rebels near Sloviansk were a sign that more decisive and professional actions should be taken.
Cameron expressed support for Ukraine.
