Vitaly Klitschko, the leader of the UDAR Party and a candidate for Kiev mayor, said that he had never been opposed to protests in the city center, the Kiev authorities should return to their offices, the situation in the south-east of the country should stabilize and that the country should hold early parliamentary polls, ITAR-TASS reports.
Klitschko made a speech to thousands of activists on Independence Square earlier. He said that the Maidan had fulfilled its function: the dictator had been ousted and democratic elections had succeeded.
