Georgian Premier Nikoloz Gilauri has presented the new Georgian
Minister of Healthcare, Labor and Social Protection Sandro Urushadze,
who had been the deputy minister, News Georgia reports.
The former minister Alexander Kvitashvili was in the post from 2008 to
late August this year. He left the post to head Tbilisi State
University of Ivane Javakhishvili.
The premier noted that Sandro Urushadze was the head of the healthcare
policy department and head of social services. Urushadze stated that
development of hospitals will remain a priority for the ministry and
that by 2011 they will have built 46 new hospitals and clinics. He
added that they will protect the rights of citizens with state
insurance and improve medical education.
