U.S. asks Ukraine to present proof of Russia’s involvement in crisis

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has asked Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to present proof that Russia was involved in disorders in the south-eastern part of the country, Interfax reports.

Russian President Vladimir Putin told French journalists yesterday that the U.S. should prove that Russia was involved in the situation in Ukraine. He reminded that the U.S. secretary of state had been “waving a glass tube with some washing powder” and claiming that it had been proof of weapons of mass destruction present in Iraq.
