The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees says the ongoing Ukrainian crisis has displaced around 10,000 civilians within the country, while "the number of Ukrainian asylum-seekers in other countries has remained low," world media report.
Most of those who decided to move were Crimean Tatars fleeing from Crimea after it was annexed by Russia, the report said.
Ukrainian activists in Donetsk say that the number of internal refugees from their region might also be in the thousands.
