The European Union does not recognize the parliamentary elections held in the Georgian breakaway republic of South Ossetia, European Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton says.
"The EU supports Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty in accordance with the international law. We do not recognize the elections held on June 8th," Baroness Ashton is quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
