Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmoud Mamedguliyev said that the EU Association Agreement had been intended to replace the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement signed by Azerbaijan and the EU in the 20th century. He added that the sides should work on a new document with more intense integration processes, abc.az reports.
The deputy minister reminded that Azerbaijan had proposed signing a Strategic Modernization Partnership to expand cooperation beyond energy collaboration.
