The self-proclaimed mayor of Sloviansk, Vyacheslav Ponomoryov, has been deposed, Interfax cites defense minister of the so-called People's Republic of Donetsk Igor Strelkov as saying.
Strelkov refuses to give further details.
The legitimate mayor of Sloviansk, Nelya Shtepa, has been missing since April 13. Some Ukrainian media reported that she had been arrested by the miitants
