Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation on Thursday. The parties discussed the ongoing crisis in Eastern Ukraine, the spokesman for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, says.
The conversation was held on the initiative of President Poroshenko, who also congratulated his Russian counterpart on Russia Day, which is marked on June 12th.
