Belarus closes the market to Ukrainian sweetsThe decision of the Council of Ministers of Belarus on the introduction of import licensing for confectionery products led to a complete halt of  import of Ukrainian sweets, said the head of the association "Ukrkondprom" Alexander Baldynyuk.According to Alexander Baldynyuk Belarusian officials  require significant  overpricing of Ukrainian sweets - ranging from 30% to 500% of the producer price, which means that they become unaffordable to Belarusian consumers, said "LIGABusinessInform."The head of "Ukrkondprom" noted that the decision of the Belarusian authorities to  set minimum prices for their products contradicts the international obligations of Belarus, violating the basic principles of competition on the Belarusian market.According to estimates of the association, this action on the part of Belarus will cause significant damage to the Ukrainian economy.
