The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, stated that the acting Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Andrei Deshchytsia, who insulted the Russian President, has stepped beyond moral limits and now he is an outcast to Russia.
According to Russian Premier Dmitry Medvedev, Deshchytsia's behaviour confirms that some of the Ukrainian authorities are inadequate.
The Russian envoy to the UN Vitaly Churkin stated that the acting Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Andrei Deshchytsia, doesn’t exist for Moscow anymore. Churkin says that his only function was to translate American instructions into Ukrainian.
The ombudsman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Konstantin Dolgov, says that Deshchytsia's words about Putin show the kind of people who have come to power in Ukraine.
Yesterday the U.S. rejected condemnation of Deshchytsia's insulting statement.
